Hi there

A world sneak preview of the Gigabyte G1 RX-480 exclusively from OcUK:

Capture3.jpg

You seen it first at www.overclockers.co.uk mighty forums!! ;)

I dont think it looks as good as the nitro and we havent got a price on it yet. It comes in both 4gb and 8gb models, but the 4gb is not likely to unlock to an 8gb after what happened with the ref cards. also it has a backplate :)

Voltage locked, bad coolers, bad CS and previous problems with faulty BIOS'.

I don't think it's ugly, I just think it's... generic. Super generic, nothing exceptional.

The Sapphire Nitro remains the best looking 480 IMO. Got my pre-order in, too :P

No, no, no, no, take that DVI connector away from the card.

Now.

But I like the DVI :(

All my monitors are DVI and VGA only

Anyway card looks plasticy and cheap

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Nooooooo, don't...there are still plenty of people who uses a 120hz 1080p monitor that only has Dvi and no Display port (includes me) so...plis don't?

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Actually I don't care about the connector as long as the card has:

- Min. 2x DP (mini or full size don't matter)

- The IO is single slot

I never want to cut off a DVI connector with an old hacksaw. It's just a terrible feeling handling high end tech this way.

Most people who the 480 are targeted towards dont have monitors with display port. The cheapest 144 Hz monitor you can buy today, Acer GN246HL, doesn't have display port.

Take away the HDMI and make one of the DP mini

I dont think this card is targeted towards people that have the money to do projects which require a hacksaw to the card

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

I would disagree as it can be just included in the box (like the good days of the GTX 4xx or even 79xx days :P)

reference cards are pretty bad for accessories

and it depends on the manufacturer more so than it being reference/non reference

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.
