If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

@LinusTech You should hit Ebay, buy an old 970 Motherboard and an FX CPU to go in it, build it inside a case with a decent PSU, stick in an RX480, OC the crap out of it, stick firestrike extreme on a loop and film the result. I'd love to know if these rumors have any truth.

Why would they spend the time to develop something with IR "signals", when a IR floodlight would accomplish nearly the same thing?

Edit: Why would a 3.5" disk not fit in a 4x7" space?

Additional Maths!

This image measures a floppy as 1100 pixels high.

Game_Chaos.Strikes.Back_UK_Atari.ST_Game

That equals 317 pixels per inch.

The distance from the bottom of the spindle hole to the top of the diskette is 730 pixels.

This means you would need a minimum of  2.3 Inches of depth in the drive to accept the diskette, access the read/write area, and spin the diskette.

This might have unintended consequences. Censorship could be a real thing here and there could be use cases where this could be interfering with people's free speech or something like that. Scary thought.
