TWC Internet - got 6x speed increase for free?

So I live near Winston Salem, NC. I pay for the highest internet speed they had available, which was 50/6. 

I come home today and download a game off steam to find it doing near 35MB/s. I'm like..uhhh wtf?

 

I check speedtest.net and..... 350 mbps!!!  geeze.

 

I knew they were upgrading the area, and was supposed to be upgraded to 100mbit/s, but 50 to 350 for free? 

Oh, and 20mbit uploads. HELL YEA!!

 

Sorry, lol, just had to share this with someone (its near 3am)

 

I'm guessing this is because of the buyout from Charter? Seems they're calling it "Spectrum" now.

Yah, they rolled this out in Raleigh about a year ago. It's to compete with Google Fiber and your bill won't increase :)
