i want to build a pc but have somewhat crappy internet my question is does a higher resolution or higher settings use more "internet" is so what part does it need more/better ping upload or download thank you! Please dont roast the shit out of me in the replys for being such a dumbass

Doesn't have anything to do with using more 'internet'. :)

 

The only thing that has an effect on the overall throughput is the latency of your peripherals, your monitor, etc. But that is just between your actions and what ends up displayed, it has nothing to do with online latency or ping or anything.

No it does not matter. The amount of people in a server does matter for example.

If the question is, "Do higher resolution stream/video's require more bandwidth?", then yes, they do. If the question is just about general gaming and if gaming at a higher resolution uses more bandwidth, then that is a no.
