Good graphics card for Athlon 860K?

I know its a crappy processor but its all I could afford - got it on special from Amazon for £40 so Ive bought it and a cheap motherboard with this months pay check. Ive got everything else now, just need a graphics card.

When I get paid next month I need to buy a GPU, what would you say is a good pairing, don't want to go silly and bottleneck it but don't want to go bottom of the barrel either. Something that will get me a decent 60 fps on a 1080p TV at reasonable quality would be nice, any ideas?

This is pretty much the maximum for that CPU.

I am using a r9 270, got it for 86 from ebay; trust me don't go over 270/380; you will be sad knowing the gpu had way more potential but bogged down by the athlon

edit: if you get a decent one and oc it, it will perform just as good as a r9 270x

GTX 960 or R9 380... (2GB should do unless you play GTA V...)

 

The 860K at 4.2GHz should be able to handle the same as a 880K at stock speeds...

Here are some options for the UK based on different price ranges, that you can consider. Of course, the more expensive ones will run games much better and the cheaper ones are your sort of low end options.

That R9 380 4GB is a ridiculously good deal at the moment. Over £20 cheaper than it was just a week ago.
