well Sony get royalties from every sale made on PSN. And every game sold for the console. Sony is in deep financial shit atm. Its so bad they have to spin off their segments from eachother so that if one fails (a few of their segments are likely to fail), it wont kill their profitable segments.

How ps plus works, you buy ps plus , you get 3-7 games a month raging from psp,ps3,ps4. in that month if you go to the store and buy thouse games for free they will stay for ever tied to your account. (so you will have them for ever) if your ps plus runs out and you dont renew it, you wont be able to download or play ps plus games that you got. but if you renew your ps plus again , you will be able to play all the ps plus games you had before.(if you lose your ps plus ,they still sit there in wait for you to renew it to be played.)

See, this is why introducing a PS4.5 this early makes little to no sense. Look at games from beginning of a consoles life and the end = night and day.

 

Sure the time spans are getting shorter and shorter before we need new horse power in a console but Uncharted 4 proves that if a dev knows what they're doing, a game can look smexy AF on console.

The original Xbox was based on x86, and is apparently an utter nightmare to emulate as the x86 arch itself needs to be emulated as well(within another x86 arch no less).

Unless it was done with DX12 since it is a low level API, then a GTX 970 could manage it easily at 1080p. (and driver optimizations would need to be done as well-as usual).

not with the view distance and alpha channel effects (smoke). As i bet quite a few of the things we see is done through compute to reduce stress on the shaders. And we all know how "great" maxwell is at compute....

and only 32 deep queue. Anything over that and maxwell needs two passes. Although, even at single precision, Maxwell still trails much much weaker AMD cards. A 970 will be matched by a R9 380X in compute (yes seriously, it will). A 390 wont be matched by anything short of the highest end GTX 980s... So unfortunatly, if the compute solution is more then 32 deep queue, or if Nvidias driver overhead isnt kept in check (which is a real thing with compute on maxwell) then a GTX 970 will be struggling hard.

And so what? Why can't people with high end PCs get games like this? And they can always make the graphics scalable.

Dude, i have a R9 295x2. One of the most powerful graphics cards you can find. I realize even i would struggle with this. Which is fine, but i want to play my games at MAX settings (3440 x 1440p resolution)

Yes, it is certainly the most beautiful console game to date, but with how shitty the game is I'm glad it is the last in the series. I don't need them butchering the quality Uncharted set up by continuing it any further.

i know right...and then you see people building with the athlon 860K and a 750ti...console killer they say...YEAH SURE!!

To run this, at this level of detail on a PC you would need like a core i5 haswell or better and a GTX 960 or R9 380...maybe even more than that.

Console games sometimes when they are exclusive and very well polished and optimized can be darn surprising.

on PC, this would require WAAAY more. Under DX11 that would be a 970 or 390X. And a i5 4690k (4460 would be too slow)

i found the game and story to be quite good. Voice acting was decent too, could have been better, As with all Uncharted games, it is very linear, which suits the series. The story itself was a bit, sporadic, and could have been fleshed out a little bit, especially about Sam, as it felt like he was just stuck in there to have a character to build on.
