How much VRAM will pascal have?

Chewique

So i was thinking about pascal and i want to know how much vram will the 1070 and 1080 have? If there is any info about the 1060 as well that would be nice!

As far as we know, nobody knows anything, except for the people that worked on it, and those are under serious NDA's.

1070 and 1080 are reportedly coming in 8GB formats and probably 4GB for the 1060. Like usual, Maxwell was VRAM-starved

Most likely: 6-8 GByte for the GTX1080 unless they runn out of GdDR5X and put only 4 gb onto the card

1080 is only GDDR5 if it's coming in June - GDDR5X is coming later from what I've read

My guess is 4GB for the low end gaming cards and 6-8GB for the mid/high tier of gaming cards.

Becauuuuse:

They have been already moving away from 2GB with GTX 960 so I see no reason for them to go back to 2GB. So I am pretty sure that 4GB will be minimum for gaming cards.

It could have X but then it will be a low volume and high price card because they can't produce enougth. But I don't like to speculate and just wait for polaris ;)

Because most of what you would find are rumors, no one actually knows if that information online is true
