Um, whats wrong with the Ti?

Needs money for car parts :P

980ti if you can't wait till June/July for a 1080 (or AMD equivalent). Never a Fury X over those two.

If you want the same or similar to a 980ti, buy a 980ti, it is very very the same :D

980ti is the best GPU atm

if you wait for pascal/polaris you will be able to get either more performance for the sme amount of money, or get the same performance for less money

so if you can wait, that would be the best option

I don't understand the purpose of this question. If you want a card with similar performance to the 980ti, and you give the 980ti as an option, then the only valid option is the 980ti. Why are you asking this?

R9 Nano (which is 10fps away from 980ti in benchmarks) or crossfire R9 390xs which is still cheaper then 980ti and will out perform it by miles. both of these options are either 600 to 700 AUD cheaper then 980ti
