iOS7 adds extra water protection to your device!

Don't think this would happen if it were true because if you were using your phone on a rainy day and you get a drop of water on it, does it mean that your phone will turn off immediately? :D

A fake Apple adverts claiming the new iOS 7 software makes iPhones and iPads waterproof has apparently fooled some users into destroying their devices!

Ha, I followed the original thread on /b/. Didn't think people would fall for it. Same as with the charging of your iphone5 in a microwave. Some people are really stupid.

Not necessarily, that would be 100% true if there was no battery in it, but you can't remove an Iphone battery so...

But isn't the battery replaceable?

As I have said before, I'm not sure what's easier to fool: the 5s fingerprint sensor or Apple's customers.

This is the best thing ever! Just the image of iPhone users 'testing' the water resistance of their phones and being utterly trolled is absolutely priceless!

Yeah not easily though, but if you drop it into water with a battery attached there's a chance you could brick the phone completely, drying it out isn't guaranteed to work.

I don't feel sorry for the consumers. They should of used common sense and didn't. I shall laugh at their massive mistake, don't put electronic equipment in water. Ever. Idiots.
