today is my bday. I was given some money, need to figure out what to buy

bcredeur97

Awkwardly enough since it's usually one of the more expensive keyboards, it's the G710+ http://pcpartpicker.com/part/logitech-keyboard-920003887

Thanks, and I actually really like that KB, it's pretty sweet looking.

If you can get those 6950's, Definitely try to sell your 7770 & old PSU (Craigslist is your friend) to get more money for better peripherals! Good Luck and Happy Birthday!

Sorry to call you out @WoodenMarker but I think the Ducky Shine Zero might be. Might be a little tricky to find one though.

I don't think so.

The Zero Shine with browns is slightly more expensive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA23C0VD3096

If you're talking about the blues or blacks, they happen to be cheaper.

Nice. Good on you, I was wrong.

(Even though I know there's ALWAYS cheaper)

This is about $100 and is very popular at the moment. Are you absolutely sure you want browns? I have them myself and have owned MX Blue keyboards in the past, and they are fine for gaming and typing, I spilled soda on my CM Storm Trigger and wanted to try a new switch. The blue version is about $20 cheaper.

You Win :D

The G710+ has O-rings pre-installed which might bring up the price a little bit, keep that in mind

True, but they're also ridiculously large. Macro keys are more of an annoyance than anything and you can pickup an 0-ring pack at the hardware store for cheap ;)

I do kind of like macro keys, I don't ever use them in serious games but if there's a stupid flash game or exploit I find they are so helpful. Also annoying the hell out of friends by sending 50TB of messages through Steam.

If you don't game too much just upgrade the monitor to 1080p and save the rest

Well if its the only thing I have I have to deal with it. And yes of course I will get a new PSU, it's been one of my plans for a while now.

new power supply

And you might consider new keyboard but that's a matter of taste, you got some suggestions above already.

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?

Ok im going to get the Logitech G710 KB along with a 23" 1080p IPS monitor and a 700W-750W PSU. If I have any left over I will probably just save it. I really like the looks of the G710, and it also has the CherryMX Browns(Which are quiet keys, I need quiet since I share a room with someone, and like to game deep into the night sometimes.) AND it has the O-rings so even more quiet. I hope you guys can agree to this.
