Lian Li and SilverStone revealed new cases on their FB page

Dun know if it is a coincidence or not, both Lian Li and SilverStone revealed new cases on their FB page, without giving much details about these cases.

Firstly, Lian LI revealed PC-J60, while SilverStone revealed PM01.  Interestingly these 2 cases were built based on the same principle: remove the drive bays on the front of the case, provided a spacious and clean interior, with a PSU shroud and (quite) plain-designed front panels, as Lian Li's only have PW, USB ports and audio jack on the front panel, while SilverStone's has mesh front, allowing more air to flow through the front panel.

Lian Li also revealed PC-09, successor of the PC-08. From the photo it seems it is still based on the dual chamber design as the PC-08, but instead of having tempered glass side and front panels, it seems only the right chamber will have tempered glass front and side panel, while left chamber would have brushed aluminium side and front panels instead. Also the 3 120mm fan mounts, which were on the front of the left chamber of PC-08, seems to be moved to the right chamber, on the motherboard tray in PC-O9.

As mentioned, not much info was revealed about these cases. No specs, pricing or availability was revealed. I GUESS Lian Li and SilverStone would revealed near Computex time, probably in April or May.

Copies of the Define R5 and NZXT Noctis, cause these days everyone copied from someone and it's 'cool' to point that out,  right? #Thermalfake ?

And I'm glad that I got the O8,  the O9 looks kinda silly I think.

Yeah, the PM-01 looks like a Noctis with a bit of Phantom mixed in.

Not a fan of the PC-J60, but the PC-O9 looks slick.

I know the PSU cover is cool and all. But I'd really like a bottom intake.

I just wish they have more intake fans for positive pressure. I know you can adjust RPM settings but that is not really a good solution since you are forcing either the intake fans to be faster or the exhaust to be slower so you are compromising airflow/noise.

When I make a post, unless I am the original poster or ask for a reply, don't bother replying or quoting me because I don't read them.

God-damn is that first one ugly as sin. Seriously, the window is all out of proportion, the red bar on the side... Jesus christ...

however, that silverstone one looks like the bigger brother of the NZXT noctus, and I'd buy the Pc 09 in a heart beat.

AH WHAT ARE YOU DOING LIAN LI ANS SILVERSTONE?

wHAT IS THAT SILVERSTONE? OLDER NZXT?

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Given the O9 is meant to serve as a desktop and NAS all in one, the form isn't silly. It's just niche.

The Silverstone looks nice.  Triple 140mm front support, and a rear 140mm fan.  Not a fan of the angles and edges, but--kudos to the fan support.

Oh I didn't read that it was meant to be a desktop and NAS in one.
Well then it's actually a pretty cool idea.
