My hard-drive just died. Didn't have the cash to shell out for an SSD (just a higher RPM drive) so this would be a pretty big upgrade for me.

I would like to have a SSD in my system and I think every one should cuz they fast... :D

But seriously if you're waiting for a game to load and playin' color switch meanwhile and loosing every time, you should consider buying a SSD or at least try to win one like I'm doing right now :)

I currently own a very low end Intel atom D525 based DIY NAS running windows server 2008 R2. I use it for daily backups (Currently sadly only windows based software "raid"), and also as a Plex Server to watch my ripped stuff on my TV.

I'm currently trying to put together an upgrade for my NAS, HBA card, better board with possibly a low powered quad core xeon, and 16gb ram. This SSD would serve as an awesome Cache for my new UnRaid array :)

Good luck for everyone!

Everyone should have a SSD in their system so they can seed more torrents faster...and because Linus says everyone should.

I don't have an SSD because I didn't have the money back when I built my PC and deemed it unnecessary... I was wrong. Now I'm always the last of my friends to boot up and load games when we "go to war". This SSD WOULD definitely help my startup and load times :D

I should get the ssd as I am currently running a Seagate 500gb drive, with about 75mb/s transfer speed, and which is completely full. Moreover the drive is beginning to die and sometimes seems to just refuse to transfer or boot.

Also I can rek my m8 and be like your hdd a snail m8y.

I'd like to have an additional SSD in my system to support a dual boot setup for Windows 7 and OS X. I'm currently having to run VMware Workstation in Windows, and then OS X on top of that. The guest OS ends up running slower than it should, because of running 2 OS's at the same time, having to do resource sharing.

Booting straight into OS X, rather than having to use VMware, would help me work faster and be more productive! Who doesn't want that?!

I also currently run my main OS (Windows 7) off of a 500 GB SSD, and I think EVERYONE should run their OS off of a SSD. Gives a MAJOR boost in performance, specially for aging machines.

Cheers, and thanks for giving us all a chance to win something great!

Keep up the great work guys!

Everyone needs an SSD in their system for the faster boot times (and faster map loading for gamers). It's so nice to be able to log in less than 10 seconds after I turn the machine on.

Additionally, I could play an entire competitive match in the amount of time I spend waiting in CS:GO for other players to load the map. Enough said.
