$1400 Virtulization build

piemadd

Here is my plan of a $1400 Virtulization build. One of them is going to be a gaming PC and one is going to be a homework PC. Subtract $90 because one of the gpu's is going to be a GTX 650.

Well A, no please

B why do think you need 2 computers or why do you want 2 computers? Why don't you just build a $1000 gaming PC and get a laptop for your secondary PC?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Don't buy a 9590. Also don't get it with a cheap board it will burn it out.

No reason to virtualize just get 2 rigs if you need 2 rigs.

For gaming: Build yourself a PC that is fairly decent

For homework: Raspberry Pi Zero. Seriously.

Athlon X2 for only 27.31$   Best part lists at different price points   Windows 1.01 running natively on an Eee PC

My rig:

RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333MHz

HDD: Seagate 500GB

GPU: Intel HD Graphics 3000 Series

Spoiler

Frankenhertz (ex main rig)

CPU: Intel Atom N2600 1.6GHz Dual Core

RAM: 1GB DDR3-800

The second PC is for my little brother. He needs a good PC because he is going to be doing some light gaming, but primarily homework.

I would get one of the cheaper 8 Core 2011 Chips and a X79 Board, and get 280X'es instead of 380s, and more RAM.

An example?

You'd be better off just building a dedicated machine for that, depending on how light gaming you could either just get an APU rig under 300, otherwise you could get a 380 GPU + 860K for around $400 for the secondary PC, and just get like a Xeon 1231v3 + 390 for the main rig
