Is an Ebay loop going to be horrible?

I have had my custom loop for almost a year now and one of my friends wants to build himself a loop but his budget is EXTREMELY tigth and im trying to tell him that it is a bad idea to get all his watercooling stuff from ebay (cheap unbranded parts from chinese sellers)

(Ps: i have only used ekwb watercooling parts)

If he is ona  tight budget, building a loop is 100% pointless considering it doesnt really effect performance as much as just investing it into his PC/monitor/audio/desk/chair etc

You can get a pretty insane loop for £80 Man, A pond pump, a cooler box, water, antifreeze, ice and a cheap block from OCUK.

they'd probably have better luck watercooling with parts from home depot, and a old car rad.

Tell him to save up. Unbranded parts could mess up and even leak within the system. Tell him to get an air cooler for now. Then buy the parts.

That sounds.. not fun to use, could just get an h110 and be happy (or another good cooler)

All I am saying is, a loop (aside from the enthusiast with money to burn) is pretty pointless when the money could be spend on better parts, or better peripherals

H110's Are great when you get them cheap, but have no where near the cooling performance of what I said, I have a H110, hoping to get it sold for an air cooler though, bought it for £50, Should be able to get like £60 Out of it HOPEFULLY.

But 99% of people dont need that cooling performance unless they are overclocking to beat synthetic scores etc

For normal use and gaming hell even a stock cooler is ok as long as you dont OC - you can OC plenty on an h100i or a nice big noctua air cooler

Loops are mostly just for the cool factor and aesthetics
