Logitech G400 Vs. G500

Jesmund
Go to solution Solved by Jackbe,

G400 all the way. There's no competition. The G400 and G400s have perfect sensors, the G500 has a crappy sensor. Makes the most difference if you play FPS.

G500.

MOAR BUTTONS!

G500s:

Moar buttons

Moar DPI

Tilting scrollwheel

Dual-mode scrollwheel (standard clicky scrolling or HOLY S*** MEGA FAST SPINNING WHEEL OF DEATH)

Custom weight (feed your mouse greasy fast food or healthy salads,, your choice!)

G400s:

costs less dollars

optical sensor (some people prefer that over lasers)

G700s:

bawss, 'nuff said

(possibly too expensive if you're looking at the G500 and G400)

I'm not sure about the size difference, but I believe the G500 is a bit bigger than the G400.. Personally, I'd rather spend the extra money of the G500 because it's not that much more expensive and it has the extra functionality which is always nice. Since I've gotten used to using the dual-mode scrollwheel in my G700s, I don't think I could ever go back to a regular scrollwheel. Just spinning the scrollwheel around at 1000 miles/hour makes churning through long documents so easy.

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

G400 if you play competitive games (FPS, SC2, Dota 2, LoL...Anything where you need to react quickly and precisely.), G500 if you don't.

The right click on my G500 has started dying. When I hold it, it acts like I'm randomly letting go, then clicking again. Freaking annoying in games. I've switched to a RAT 5.
