Aha Linus finally mentioned a DAC towards the end of the iPhone 7 segment. I was beginning to think he wouldn't. The signal must be sampled and converted by the DAC - there is no simple adaptor for this one. A cheap one would work, but what's the point in a thinner phone when there's an adaptor hanging off the bottom! A cheap one won't sound good. Alternatively every set of headphones would need it's own DAC within it, which will need electricity to run. So that leads me to believe they want people to buy wireless headphones since they need power anyway. There is so much fail here.

But maybe everyone should have a quality portable DAC and use that, to experience what good sound really is.

Got to be honest the iPhone 6 and 6s are the first iphones that I have liked the look of but if it is true they are looking to remove the 3.5mm jack I wont be getting it.
A major selling point for them at the moment is Apple Music and if they remove that jack allot of customers wont get the benefit from it what so ever, I just hope they dont make that mistake.

Also on a side note, you guys seem to have had a few issues with changing scenes lately. Have you considered switching from xSplit to obs? Myself I stream now and then and find OBS much better on my system and just a smoother transaction. Just an idea that's all
