Ok so was planning on purchasing my parts today, but got informed that the 6600k had issues with cpu coolers, have any of you guys got the 6600k and had any issues, or shall I just go for the 4790k?

If it's on the compatibility list then you're good to go.

 

For future reference: if it fits LGA 1155/1156 it'll fit LGA 1150/1151
