Hi,

I'm looking into building a Mini ITX budget build for around 1200$ only for the PC itself.

my knowledge is limited when it comes to Mini ITX since i'v never really worked with it.

these are my goals for the build:

1) 40+fps 1920x1080 on most recent titles (i might give a few more buck for this.)

2) No overclocking needed.

3) i want the machine to be as small as possible.

4) Minimum noise.

5) The machine must be as cool as possible since i'm in a very warm area

6) i'm used to work with Intel processors (if Intel processor isn't an option i'm ok with it.)

7) I had really bad experience with AMD graphics cards (especially Heat and drivers issues) so i would prefer Nvidia (if not possible its also ok but need to make sure there aren't any AMD heat  buildup issues).

No need for a screen...

My questions are:

Is this possible? (in this budget..)

If not, whats the highest i can get in this budget?

I'm not sure how to determine if a certain mini itx motherboard is good enough for a build like this what should i look for?

How do i determine my power consumption needs?

If you have an ideas for a build that would answer my need please post it. (and a price if you have)

If you have a certain build in this area please share it with me.

Thanks a lot!

don't get a hard drive for a LAN system. the goal was to support more ram and you could go for a I7 chip.

Yes, i'm from Israel.

Well this is out

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zTTQmG

Mostly look for an i5 4460, an ITX 970, or R9 285 970 is the better option unless the 285 is much cheaper

you could also look for the R9 nano GPU, but it's overkill, I listed it in the build because I couldn't find ITX versions of the other GPUs, but mostly I guess it's on some kind of mega sale in the US

And you'll want the Coolermaster Elite 110 case which is about the smallest thing you can get without more specific GPUless ITX builds

Streetguru,

Why did you go with 450W PSU?

Don't we need more power for this??

Streetguru,

Why did you go with 450W PSU?

Don't we need more power for this??

it's just gold rated so it'll run cooler, happened to be the cheapest one

the R9 nano has like a 175W TDP, it's highly performance per watt optimized.

okay ya the 450W  should be alright , total system power consumption was 300W ish with the nano and a Intel Core i7-4960X

Page not found... couldn't watch...

In IE and some other browsers you need to remove the %C2%A0 at the end of the link to get it to work. Browsers like Firefox typically remove invalid characters and do not have a problem.

You will have to check local pricing and availability of the following. But first some parts explained. The NH-U9S is quiet and fits the case. All ssd build. M.2 not used because they tend to run hot and on mini-ITX motherboards are usually located on the underside of the motherboard making cooling difficult. The gpu is quiet and easily fits in the case. It has decent performance. The case is designed to allow excellent airflow, optimizing cooling.
