So my 2 year old AMD A8-6600k has a few problems :(
Firstly it runs at 97+ degrees when gaming and 60 at idle.
Its running in a case with a front fan, exhaust fan and 2 side fans. My preformance with rendering my crap youtube videos has gone down so my quality usually messes up and I have to use my GTX 960 to render. Whilst playing some games it does go up very high even when I have my window open in 5 degree weather.
The games I play adveredge temp celcuis:
ETS2: 98 degrees,
OMSI: 77 degrees,
CS:GO: 100 degrees,
Cities Skylines 97 degrees,
 Please send help: normal AMD heatsink with AVC fan.

Tty reapplying thermal paste first. Then, REPLACE THAT CRAPPY HEAT SINK!

My stock cooler for my 8350 was so horrible, at least get a small cooler like a Hyper 212 EVO. Much quieter and better temps.

Buy a Hyper 212 EVO, it's quite cheap and will cool it fine.

Yeah, I would say remove the cooler, remove the thermal paste, reapply and put back the cooler. Clean the cooler (the fan) while you're at it too.

Do you think it's VERY dusty or not?

Something to note:

The CRYORIG H7 out performs it at almost the same cost

The CRYORIG M9i performs the same, is smaller, is cheaper, and both of these models are quieter than Noctua according to reviews by Tech Powerup.  (under load.)

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The fan is maxed out at 100% and I did clean some of the dust out.

Yeah, I would suggest cleaning the cpu and cooler and using new thermal paste.

Uhh.. The 212 EVO costs around $10 here on sale, that can't be beat. The H7 does not outperform it, but it does cool about the same. The M9i is loud at full load, trust me, that's what my friend replaced.

serves you right, AMD sucks -Intel fanboy

Just dont even bother, youre of no help to the thread and your post is just a fire starter.

If youve got nothing useful to say then why post.

As for @ OP, you can

>Reapply some new thermal paste

>Trash the stock cooler for a better air cooler

>Undust your current cooler? Maybe theres some clog up in there

Where?  I'd like to find it at $10 "here."

So is Tech power up wrong on both the performance and noise graphs?

H7 performance under a different situation (Maximum load possible.)

Why do they exist then?

I live in Dallas, it goes on sale all the time at Fry's and at Micro Center. I got mine for $20.

Also, I don't get those noise comparisons.. at 100% load, sure the 212 EVO is louder.. But even at a 4.5Ghz OC on my 8350 the original fan never, ever got over ~40%. Now that I've replaced the fan, it's even more effecient. Why do you think the 212 has so many awards? It's not for no reason.
