BIOS not picking up DVD drive?

Just finished building my ultra PC, one problem, on the bios of the z97-a, under boot priority, no items are listed. I've put a Windows 10 disc in the disc drive but nothing. Please help!!

Try updating the bios

make sure the sata cable is in all the way

 

if you have to use a usb stick to install

If you need remote help fixing something on your computer

try a different sata port, mine doesnt work in half of them for some reason

probably because you havent enabled the 3rd party SATA drivers

I'll try to change SATA cables but I don't have win10 on usb, only on disc. I'll try the SATA thing now and report back

Have you definitely plugged both cables in all the way? (power and data?)

Wait I just realised I only connect the sshd and ood to the PSU, am I meant to connect them to the mobo too?

LOL, yes.. the PSU gives them power, and the connection to the motherboard is for data to pass to the CPU.
