The gift I would like to give are a sound bar for my parents. The sound bar comes with a subwoofer, and they are the JBL sb250 that were recently released (http://www.amazon.com/JBL-SB250-Soundbar-Subwoofer-Bluetooth/dp/B017UZUMBE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449789460&sr=8-1&keywords=jbl+sb250). They recently got a new tv to replace their old one which was almost as old as me, but the sound could be better. Hopefully this will deliver!

My father is a professor and he carries a laptop to the university every day, carrying and setting up the computer is rather slow and consumes him time so I would go for something small and easy to carry like "Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7-Inch Tablet"; considering the size for his poor eye sight.

My family need a tablet! They always want my tablet but I use it a lot. A laptop could also be usefull, they can't use the desktop pc on the sofa. So a ASUS Transformer Book is perfect!

(My family includes father, mother and sister.)

I would get my mom the best router i could find, for her, this means lots of wired lan ports and a very strong set of antennae.  She lives in Florida and all of the houses there are cinderblock.  Cinderblock, as it were, is a very good blocker of wifi signal.  she had me run her some cat5 to each room, but she only has the comcast router which doesnt let her connect each device, forcing her to use the single band that is provided.  (it is a dual band box but the second band is reserved for public wifi use provided you are a comcast customer and can log in with your credentials, how nice of them!)

When company are over, or she is trying to stream to the tv while skyping her father, things get pretty dicey.  I think she would really appreciate this.  When i can afford it, it will be a great gift, but as of now, that is not feasible.

http://www.amazon.com/Asus-RT-AC88U-ASUS-Routers/dp/B016EWKQAQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1449782966&sr=1-1&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_three_browse-bin%3A8514071011%2Cp_36%3A-30000

I would get her something as overkill as possible, it has 8 lan ports, two usb, and 4+4 antennae.  it will enable her to connect her tv, streaming device, her boyfriend's office, printer, my little sister's xbox 360 as well as her pc, and the wd mycloud i got them to backup to /share from. all with a spare lan port and a significantly less cluttered wireless network.

thanks a bunch for the opportunity!

I'd gift an Asus Zenfone 2 to my mom.

My mom is still using a Huawei U1250 and it'd be a really nice replacement. She's only ever been able to use that phone for voice calls because she found the navigation designs clunky and difficult to learn. She's been meaning to learn how to use computers/new tech and I feel that a recent smartphone would be conducive to her learning.

I hyperlinked the phone name above but here's the full link in plain-text: http://www.amazon.com/ZenFone-Unlocked-Cellphone-Black-Warranty/dp/B00VWKKEYO/

Thanks for hosting awesome contests and giveaways, LMG crew!

I would love to get my step sister the Anki Overdrive starter kit. After I saw your video on channel Superfun I thought about how much I would have loved that as a kid. She is 13 years old and is a budding tech enthusiast. Thanks for the great channels and epic giveaways!

I would give my dad a new phone, as he can barely handle normal daily activities with his iphone 4. I would be a great gift to get him a cheap android phone so that he can be able to make it through the day without lockups and reboots up the butt! Awesome idea Linus!

My build: i5 3570k , Sabertooth Z77, Be quiet Dark Rock 2, Corsair vengeance 16 gb ram, Corsair RM 750, WD Black 1TB , ADATA 256 GB SSD, Asus 660ti DCUII, NZXT H440, Noctua NF-F12 & NF-A14.

I would love to change the world, but they won't give me the source code.

Something that I would really like to get for my father is the Fitbit Charge HR

http://www.amazon.com/Fitbit-Charge-Wireless-Activity-Wristband/dp/B00N2BW2PK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1449790638&sr=8-3&keywords=fitbit+charge+hr

At 80 years old, he is not super tech savvy, but he owns and loves his ipad, and he has a windows laptop pc.
A fitness band like this can connect to either, and is easy enough for him to use.
Since my mom passed away just over a year ago it has been getting tougher for him to find the motivation to keep up his exercise to stay healthy (he always thought he would be the one to go first). He lives in Arizona and I live in Japan. Even though we live so far apart, I can add him as a friend through the fitbit app, and challenge him to get in his daily exercise if he starts to fall behind. As you get older exercise and getting out of the house becomes even more important, and I want him around for as long as possible, so he can meet his grand-daughter who is due to be born early next year. He considered getting an apple watch for himself to help track his heart rate and exercise, but I talked him out of it due to the cost, and the fact that he doesn't have an iphone (and old people probably shouldn't be early adopters anyways). These are super easy to use though, and not terribly expensive.

For my uncle, whose eyes keep getting "better", a Kidle paperwhite would be great since it's a easy to use device and the text size can be adjusted easily, plus it would force him to read out of the boundaries his big library.

Kindle paper white with everything an avid reader would need

It's a great give away you are organizing :)
Have nice holiday season!

I want this for my dad because he has been using a tiny old monitor that is small. It is very small and low quality and he deserves something more at his age.

I would like this Samsung Monitor.

My sister would love a Blue Yeti Pro.She always wanted to record her self and her husband singing and playing guitar with some studio level equipment and i think with a Yeti Pro its very easy to do so.They both dont really know a lot about tech so a Blue mic would be great for those noobies :P

http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Microphones-Condenser-Microphone-Multipattern/dp/B004L9KLT6/ref=sr_1_2?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1449791428&sr=1-2&keywords=Blue+yeti+pro

Also, that is the best idea for a holiday giveaway anyone have ever done. :D

Keep it up Linus! :)

I would get this simple RF headset for my father. He watches TV in bed and when his wife is trying to sleep. This would be nice as he currently uses a headset with a 15 foot long cord that is alwasy a mess.

A TV.

My dad.

My dad, in his room, has been using a gigantic, low quality tube tv that recently broke. The TV he is using now....another tube TV, but this one is tiny! like 19"!! He's always complaining about not being able to see the TV too! I really want to get him a nice tv like the one above, especially a smart tv. The reason for a smart TV is because he likes netflix, but having a seperate device (Roku, Blueray, etc.) is too complicated for him. Hope I win!!! Thanks a lot!

Not sure if this counts but, my Dad spends most of his time at the Computer, relaxing, searching the web and generally enjoying himself (but far from a "Techie") but a couple Weeks ago his old Office Chair broke and I was going to get him a new one, something a bit more expensive and durable hoping it would last longer because right now he is using a Wooden Stool from the Shed. Thanks for running this Giveaway and all of the Vids you guys do!.
