I'd love to have the opportunity for my father to have a new monitor, such as the Acer G257HU (http://www.amazon.com/Acer-G257HU-smidpx-25-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B00QS0AKVK/) He uses his computer all the time, but is still using an old 1440x900 display that's on the verge of dying, so being able to get him a new one for Christmas would make him insanely happy.

I would get a projector for my girlfriend. She loves going to movie theaters just so that she can watch a film on a big projector screen, and has always wanted to get one. She even cleared off a wall, just for when she finally gets one in the future. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/FastFox-Full-Multimedia-Projector-Lumen/dp/B015PCKL74/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1449791652&sr=1-1&keywords=projector&refinements=p_36%3A20000-30000

Thank you so much in advance for if I win, and i just want to say, your channel is what got me into tech in the first place

:D

I would get a mini PC for my dad. It would do all he needs to do without taking up quite as much space.

He might run into a gaming bottleneck later though.

(If you are feeling generous, you could use the $40 left over to buy some ram for the bare bones PC.)

The Nvidia Shield would be the coolest gift I could give to my parents, they recently disovered Netflix and boy they love it, what we dont have is where to watch it rather than our only iphone. I think they will learn quickly how to use it because its os is very friendly. Also this would make my brother play some games, intead of our very poor intel HD 2000.

  • Yea, this is happening to me right now. So hard to figure out what tech gift to give my dad and uncle. I love tech or tech related makes our life more simple.

For my uncle i am planning to give him a battery bank because he is always complaining how bad the battery life is in iPhone 6 and he is usually in Facebook and Instagram.

For 38 bucks currently on amazon i think it is perfect gift. Just plug and charge with colorful lightning goes with Christmas theme as well. :)

For my dad i am giving him a new phone. I am tried of him saying that his phone over heats, he is using droid 1. Camera crashes and dont take good pictures and apps are not supported. Giving me headache. He doesn't want anything fancy because he is not that tech savvy and he just needs phone to make calls use some app to check for daily sale deals and take pictures here and there. So, i decided to go with the budget smart phone that do not have lots of bloatware and easy to use.

So, this is what i was thinking:

my mother loves making digital photo albums and makes one of almost every event or holiday we have. also my grandmother loved to make photo albums (non-digital though, you know, in actual paper albums, without computer) and my mom loves to take pictures out of these albums and save them on her computer using her scanner.

but... she uses a second-hand, slow, crappy scanner which is shit and she also complains about not being able to print with it as well. (we don't even have a printer in my house...)

so this thing would be the best thing for my mom to happen at Christmas!

luv you guys!

I know I'm getting finicky with this one, but I found a used [and used is ok] 299.99 apple watch [there are other used ones for 299 in case this one is sold]

http://smile.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00WNAX246/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used

This would be a gift for my girlfriend who is a fanatic with apple products and loves them to death, however as soon as something loses connection or breaks with her tech she freaks out and its "TOM! Come fix this!" haha! So I know with apple tech it will be smooth - easy to use, with her iPhone 6 her mom bought her, which shes always worked just fine. And NO this isn't for me ;) because I have a google nexus 5x, about to get on that project fi - joy - not to mention the only thing that gets on my wrist, is the paracord bracelet my dad made me since we were both in the military. [ looks like this https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/2f/4d/75/2f4d75716c3188f4352d8067d7eff16f.jpg ]

Merry Christmas to you guys! Best of luck to all the contestants!

I want to get my dad a BlueDriver Diagnostic tool. He's always been the go-to mechanic in my life whenever I have an issue I can't figure out and I think he'll really benefit from something like this. Especially since he's recently purchased his first smartphone and can't stay off the thing for ten minutes.

I'd like to get my friend an i5 4690k because his power supply died and took all his components with it. I have given him a list of parts and he bought everything except his Cpu. His dad was gonna buy it then bailed on him. So I want to buy his Cpu so I can show him how to build his pc and so he can start to do some pc gaming and become more tech savvy like me.

Hey! My parents would really love an Amazon echo.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00X4WHP5E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_vvHAwb1AR9X7Z

My parents are 60 years old can't tell you how many times I got calls from them asking to work their smartphones. They call asking how they pull up the Internet or to find calendar dates. So an Amazon echo would help them a ton, so they can ask here those questions and not have to search on thier phone for it. Thank you!

LMG,

My Great Aunt lives in rural Ohio; a wasteland where internet is valuable resources. She currently is paying Verizon over $50/month just for 5GB of data using one of those awful little MiFi cards. I did some research a while back, and found that TWC was actually available in her area, and would love if you could get this: http://www.amazon.com/RT-N66U-Dual-Band-Wireless-N900-Gigabit-NETGEAR/dp/B018CTJYOS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449793392&sr=8-1 so that she doesn't have to get ripped off by them, also (they charge $13/mo for a terrible ISP modemrouter combo).

Thanks,

Inginator

I would buy a camera that anyone could use.

http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-Coolpix-L330-Digital-Camera/dp/B00HQDBLDO/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1449794006&sr=1-2&keywords=camera

This camera would be given to my grandpa because he uses his old phone to capture media, and he complains about the quality. This could solve his problem since its pretty easy to learn how to use.

Sometimes I worry about my Mom and Dad too much. I would love to gift this to my parents...The D-Link Camera Video Recorder mydlink-Enabled with 4 cameras. "Think home surveillance is too difficult to set up? Think again. D-Link's mydlink-enabled network cameras were designed to be installed by people just like you--not IT experts. I'd buy the USB drives. Thanks for the opportunity LMG!
