Fallout 4 Modding Scene

Si3Rra_7

Is it as good as Skyrim's is ( or was a couple weeks after release ) ?

it's getting there. some mods are actually pretty well-done, like the mod where dialogue is expanded so you'll be able to see what the character will say rather than a paraphrase.

there won't be any huge mods until the GECK is out though. but at the moment it's really a surprise how much modding can be done without it

Pretty much, yea.

Fallout is a bit less attractive, but its still got an active modding scene. Even more so when freaking bethesda launches the geck for it.

Sonnyboi! This game just came out! Do you expect texture mods, cheats, custom skins, etc. so soon after launch!?!?! Well you'd be right :D

Nothing major yet but I installed some fun mods for my 2nd playthru already (more settlement assets and options, craft-able ammo, weapons & armor (how did Bethesda leave that out?!?!?), and some other stuffs. A pretty quick turn around for mod support (from creators) to

I think Fallout 4 has a way bigger release modding scene than Skyrim did.

Pretty sure this is true. I currently have about a dozen mods installed on my Fallout 4, whereas I'm pretty sure I played at least a couple weeks of Skyrim before finding a dozen good mods. Skyrim was babbies first modded game for a lot of people.

As of today, nope. Though, everyone's rushing in to make nude mods. But until the modding tools get ironed out, then better mods will start coming out. In time it will reach the same as skyrim.

It's good and getting better. The modding community is evolving and trying to great things with the limited resources they've got.

Knowledge is power, guard it well.

Personally, I can't wait for more Power Armor mods, I'm thinking a  few Transformers skins, and Iron Man and War Machine, would be amazing. Also, perfect for Space Marine armors from 40k. The possibilities, are endless.

The official toolkit has not yet been released however an unofficial editor that is still in alpha) has been released. Serious texture replacers (not just simple repaints) are starting to be released.

It will take a year or so before it is at the level of skyrim, lots of things need to happen and will over time.
