I went on skype to find out that i was added to a call were people were ddosing me

 

If Anyone knows were to report this (i have proof) Please help

not much you can do, call your ISP and ask them to change your ip address

If they got your mac address then you need a new modem or router

Do you actually know that this is a DDoS and not, say, some technical problem?

 

Not trying to take the seriousness away from DDoSing but really most people that think they are being DDoSed actually aren't.

Call your ISP immediately, and disconnect all devices that are connected. Do not connect your devices until ISP change your IP, and bad new after they got your IP, they can monitor your internet traffics and see what you are doing. This is called man-in-the-middle.

Just go into your router and change the mac address. Google search "<router brand> Change Mac Address". In most cases, this will cause the ISP to assign you a new IP address.

If you turn off your router, leave it for a couple of minutes, then turn it back on, you are likely to be allocated a new IP. If that doesn't work, you could contact your ISP and ask them to change it.

If you want to report the DDoSer and you know their IP address, it is possible to obtain the abuse email for their ISP by searching it in a whois database, but it's unlikely that they will do anything. If you don't know it, t is possible to resolve their IP address from their skype name, but it's probably not worth it, and I think it's a violation of the skype ToS.

wait, sure you got that right? if you just type "what is my ip" in google, you can get your ip (and the site can see it) wouldn't that mean every site you visit could track you until your IP change? (if you have dynamic IP)

That's just not true. If you know somebody's real address, does that mean that you can read all their post? Only if you are a mail delivery guy. The same is true with the internet - the only way that somebody can MitM you is by physically intercepting your traffic, which essentially limits it to ISPs and anyone who's wifi network you are connected to (at which point the IP address is completely irrelevant).

Someone knowing your IP address doesn't help them to monitor your internet traffic at all. If it did, I could just guess an IP and see what it does, or say look up the IP address of LTT, then monitor all the traffic from it. It doesn't work like that.

But actually it is. When I change my MAC I get a new IP from TWC.

Changing your MAC address doesn't necessarily mean that your IP will change (though it may do with your ISP), and if you can change your IP by other means (eg by restarting your router), there's no need to change your MAC address. Although it's unlikely, it is possible that changing your MAC address could cause other unexpected side effects. It's still worth a try if other things haven't worked, but I would recommend trying other things first.

Just the easiest. Usually I just use the Mac from a PC on my network

The other possibility is contact your ISP and they can put in some DDOS protection to stop the bad calls getting to you, its a fact on the internet that most big companies are under multiple DDOS attacks at any one time. Most attacks are just shrugged off and your ISP will have the equipment to handle it, should be pretty routine to just set DDOS protection on your IP in their network.
