Hottest temp?

Guest
Go to solution Solved by Trophywolfe,

An aiw radeon 9700 pro and the fan broke and i never knew so it went up to like 92 C

Post your highest temps you've ever reached on any component in your build (Celcius please)

I haven't really looked at my CPU temps but the hottest I've ever gotten my GPU to is only about 62 degrees.

What's yours? :)

I reached over 96 on my mothers vista laptop one time. let's just say it didn't end well.

I hope you meant 127 degrees and not 1270 degrees. Interesting to see what would happen at 1270 degrees C.

127 Oc

1270 would be like amd in 200 years from now

I thought the exact same :D 255°C would be a black plate of burned metal and some roasted thermalpaste. I would rather say 255°F which would be 123.9°C. Even that is too hot but still possible to run for lets say 5 days :D

I don't really know how, but after I finished installing the cooler and put it back to my rig there's no display. I must have short something while installing,

Feel the top of the card, too. The cooler might not be properly contacting the core. Their spacer suggestion is wrong for the 680.

My laptop's i3 2310M idles at 50-60°C and under any use, doesn't matter what use, it throttles itself down at 83°C. I tried to vacuum clean it, i also had it half opened and blew through it but no dust came out. :D

I was so stupid that I for the sake of curiousity downloaded Unigine Valley on my Macbook Air and Benchmarked it with every single setting that could be adjusted set to max... I fried the shit in less then 10 seconds and it was completely dead thereafter :(

Computers? Largest temp has been "the bull" which is just black steam from my nose!

103c on my dad's dell from the 80s. He was touring colleges and picked up an original dell for $3,000. Years later he showed me it and we foolishly turned it on without cleaning it. Temps soared before we had to turn it off.

EDIT: It was the cpu that reached 103c I don't know about the rest of the parts

i9 25.6 GHz with NeuronThreading, 256gb 6000 MHz RAM, GTX 990 OC 3024MHz 12gb, Skeletal X99 motherboard, 1 Petabyte SSD, Fractal Design Humaniod R1 Case, Herbivore 10,000W PSU, Noctua NF16 LP Derma Cooler.
