An aiw radeon 9700 pro and the fan broke and i never knew so it went up to like 92 C

if I run furmark without my ac on my gpu can hit 100c + but in game it never goes over about 80 to 85 max with no ac.

what is that program called? and will it work with a radeon card?

Furmark is what it's called, runs with pretty much any GPU.

Furmark, yes it will, no it isn't recommended because it puts loads on the GPU that they weren't designed to handle. Both AMD and nVidia graphics cards downclock if they detect furmark is running.

in think it was the 5770 .. after hitting the top of my case in rage, the plastic shroud of the card aka fan+ heatsink actually fell off .. it repeatedly hit about 90-100 *c +, so it kept shutting down/crashing.

54 Celsius on my CPU, that was a stress test on prime for about an hour. My GPU usually stays at 48 degrees Celsius when I'm gaming. I like to keep my lair cool.

Not sure what my highest temp was but had an old ATI X700 and melted the fan off the heatsink...

Found it only after I noticed the PC wouldn't stay on for more than 5 mins.
