Is the cx500 v2 psu any good?

Title says it all. I can get it for 30 euro's, and there are very little low-priced psu's to be found online and I need a 500w one. Btw it is "used", thats why it's such a low price.

It really depends on the PC it's going to power.

 

Edit: Oh, it's used. I wouldn't trust a used PSU unless you trust the seller.

Even brand new ones are not for gaming

It's a CX500 and it's used.

If you're powering a stock quad core and a 7870, it's fine. Anything that draws more power than that and it becomes a problem.

If it's used then I wouldn't touch it. Even if it was a high quality power supply.

It's not a race to the bottom.

You see,the CX's(while still beeing decent for a facebook,youtube and office work machines) are not made for gaming workloads.The sustained power going through it during these loads will put it to its knees and cause it to drop the voltage on some rails,due to its components beeing very cheap.Yes the wattage will do,but the quality of the components wont,especially if its used.

Well thank you. I ended up buying an xfx pro 550w for 45 euro's... damn why is everything so expensive in the netherlands... well I atleast should have enouph wattage to support my parts!
