this week i sucessfuly watercooled my computer. 

a little over an hour ago my cats knocked over my tower when i was gaming. 

 

 

one of the pipes connected to the rad became disconnected.

 

pastel mix was everywhere. i quickly turned off the power and un-plugged my pc. but not before my screen went black. 

 

i currently have all my parts wrapped in towels and i am individually blow drying each of them.

 

my computer easly cost me over 1400$ and around 1900$ with the water cooling. i dont have the money to replace these parts and i need help with what to do.

Keep doing that, maybe put the parts in a rice bag and leave it there for a few days. That sucks, hope itll get better

this is why you dont watercool unless you know what you're doing

clearly you didn't tighten a fitting properly

theres nothing you can do if the parts are dead

get a air compressor to and get to atleast 60psi and blow out the parts really well

just make sure everything is bone dry (like wait a day at least) and try powering them on again (briefly, since you wont have proper heat sinks).

this is why you dont watercool unless you know what you're doing

theres nothing you can do if the parts are dead

all the parts are now sitting in a box full of cheep rice.

is there anything else i can do?

Soak them in 99% isopropyl alcohol

Well I should re-phrase that. Rice does help a bit. However Alcohol is much better as shown in this video.

Damn how fat is your cat?

one is quite large but the computer was very top heavy. what i think happed was the cat jumped on top fell off and clawed into the fan grill slot things and pulled it over.

Just soak everything in 99% isopropyl alcohol motherboard pins will not be affected, but as said in that vid rice doesn't do much, take off any corrosion or residue left by the pastel coolant with a soft bristled brush. the alcohol will displace any remaining cooling liquid in and around the board.

Remember that the pastel coolant could end up leaving residue on your components. So once the liquid has dried, you'll want to follow-up with taking paper towels wetted with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol to clean that residue from the circuit boards. You definitely don't want any of that being left on the circuit boards.
