what is your opinion on Alienware taking into consideration the looks, price, and performance?

My Build: i7-4790K, 212 Evo, Asus Maximus VI Extreme, Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB DDR3-1600, Intel 730 240GB SSD, WD Blue 1TB, EVGA GTX 980Ti ACX 2.0, NZXT H440 Blue/Black, EVGA 650W 80+Gold.

Most of the time, it's not the computer, it's the person using it.

They have been dropping their prices this generation (especially the 15) so they sound more feasible now.

personally i don't like their looks. in terms of performance it is generally pretty overpriced too, so i'll probably never buy anything from alienware.

Flashy, overpriced, meh quality.

You'd be best off building your own desktop, or getting a laptop from another company, perhaps one such as Lenovo, MSI, ASUS, Sager/Clevo, or Gigabyte.

Extremely overpriced crap that will run you 2-3 times what it costs to build all with Dell's notoriously shitty customer service and cheap cases.

A bit more expensive than DIY, but you get customer support to back that price hike up. I don't think they make terrible products, I just wish they balanced their systems better.

You'd have to point me a specific product, but what I've seen from them has been thoroughly unimpressive for the price and very unreliable, as well as looking subjectively extremely cheesy. The laptops seem to hold a somewhat better value than their desktops, but they are still something I would not buy.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Having an Alienware gaming PC to me is the same as letting your Mom dress you.

Lol if only.

Not everyone has the confidence to build their own PC, especially when you have paid nearly £2000 in components like I just have.

My old Aurora R3 cost me £1000 new and lasted well for 4 years playing games at max settings for most of that time

I can see what ya mean, I was thinking of buying a PC, but I was converted into a PC builder by this forum, I know alot more than I did before now.

The desktops are expensive, and overpriced, but so are most boutique builds

Their laptops are quite reasonably priced for the spec, especially the 13 and 15

the Alpha is a great value little box too

overall, they are good quality with good customer service, you pay a lot for the machines, but SOME of their products are good value
