My English brain cant comprehend your need or want for one of these things. Wouldn't a van do? 

And don't you need a licence to drive a HGV like this?

In the state of New York, You have to be 18 to get a CDL (License to drive anything basically)

I mean there's never been an implied reason as to why he needs or really wants one.

For side jobs, theres also a lot of cool projects to be made out of semi's

that's almost 40 L/100km. that is $50 for 100km based on my local fuel prices. ($1.24 per liter/$4.7 per gallon)

Diesel is $2.34 a gallon were I live (Amazing right!)

there's like 3% different between diesel and gasoline where I live, no wonder people prefer diesel cars, they use much less fuel. half my family drives diesel VWs (all older than those effected by the scandal)

~6mpg is right, with a trailer and a ~40000lbs load. Bobtail get's twice as much.

This is LTT. One cannot force "style over substance" values & agenda on people that actually aren't afraid to pop the lid off their electronic devices, which happens to be the most common denominator of this community. Rather than take shots at this community in every post, why not seek out like-minded individuals elsewhere?
