Canon EOS SL1

I'm looking for a good/starter DSLR that can take great photos+ record @1080projectors. Would this be a good choice? What are your guys' thoughts on this cam? Discuss.

T4i is awesome !

hack it so u can get 60FPS in 1080p  (+ many other stuff)

EDIT

no hack for the T4i yet but in progress

the T5i has 1080p at 60p if u want that

uh he is looking at the SL1 which is the 100D its comparable to the 650D but is not that much bigger than a point and shoot in size its apparently a good deal although if you do not mind the extra weight Canon 650D/700D or Nikon D5200 or the older 5100 can't really go wrong with either.

here is a comparision between the 650D and the 100D

and here is one comparing the 100D to the 5100

I personally LOVE the Sony NEX series of micro DSLR's. They use an APC sized sensor (Same as most consumer DSLRs).

Check out the Sony Alpha NEX-6: http://www.dpreview.com/products/sony/slrs/sony_nex6/overview

It can record 1080p in 60fps or 24fps. There are a nice selection of NEX lenses, and there are adapters to fit most other mounting systems to it (Canon, older sony, etc). That link also has an in depth review (The site is geared towards amateur, semi-professional, and professional photographers, so some of the features of the review may or may not be important to you), plus a bunch of user reviews.

I love the size of the NEX series, and the quality is damn good.

the SL1 is great its basically a T5i in a smaller package. If your shooting video get a LENs with STM is you want it to do auto AF during video

i think it might even come with the 18-55 STM which is the second one for that reason. I have the 40mm but because its a pancake I wouldnt call it quiet so a external mic is advised but wouldnt it be any way for video?

Also the T4i is the oldest camera to have the auto AF in the consumer line.
