Is there a simulator that allows for easy car customization? Mainly looking at body and livery stuff, car performance customization is pretty much a given nowadays.

If not... I'll just patiently wait for Forza 7.

The Crew, NFS16 (not recommended), Forza Horizon 3 all come to mind. Are you on PC?

Yeah, I'm on PC. Also, isn't The Crew sort of like a racing MMO?

Sort of, but it has the widest customization of any game I can think of in terms of aesthetics. Not so much widebodies, but a lot of fender/bumper combos ontop of 2-6 different "specs" of bodywork for each vehicle in the game (each spec gets its own unique bodywork). Performance mods are tailored to specific disciplines (street, drift, offroad, race, etc).

Dont know how much youd like to play through the campaign (I quite liked it) but the open world map is massive.

Here ya go gents, as you can see I've been way behind schedule on this stuff.

Exercise your Google-fu (with caution). This was sometime after the GT-86 came out and it's missing a few tracks, but the middle portion was quite fun when I tested them briefly.

@MEC-777 @theninja35 @bcredeur97

So these are tracks we can try out? I've already got Watkins and Akagi, but Watkins isn't really a "hill climb". I also still have to try out Lake Louise.

If you can find them, yeah. I just put the Glen in there to finish off a youtube series I was planning :P

why is the nfs16 not recommended? xD

i quite enjoyed the game .... well more than the new most wanted and the new hot pursuit and rivals and what the other crap ones were called ... but still underground 2 is my fav

then again the livery system on pc is quite difficult to master

nfs 2015 is okay, but it's nowhere near as good as ghost games made it. handling is wonky, customization is questionable, story is cringe (though i can admire how hard they try to make it feel genuine - even have guys like ken block show up), etc. plus now they've abandoned the game in spite of features they promised would be in the game (neon lights)

i agree that its not perfect .... every nfs game has its strong points and flaws .... but imo the game was better than i expected (i honestly didnt expect much )

still this game is better than the ones by criterion games xD

burnout should be burnout and nfs should be nfs .... dont combine them ... please

Fired up my PS3 for the first time this summer and man it feels so nice to just do some hot laps. The races at Nurburgring 24H in pCars have noticeably improved my lines in GT6 and its so rewarding dueling high level AI in the GTR.

Though, being gear-limited to 280 caught me by surprise. Also the drafting in this game makes quite a difference.

Knowing me, I couldnt pass up the opportunity to apply another season's worth of experience to in-game photography.

That GTR is gorgeous.

Does anyone race in any AC leagues? I love driving, but without being able to race with someone competitive and clean (the AI suck), it's just not the same (or as good as) as iRacing.

I did for a while but left because the races were 90 minutes long, and the numbers dwindled down to 7 players. Fun to drive against competent people, not so fun when the lobbies are so small.

Raced with RedditRacing if you're interested. They've since revamped their organization style and I think the races are different now.

This is quite reminiscent of that accident at the Nurburgring a year or two ago, but it's an awesome shot.

Also, I looked at that ACRL thing, and it's quite complicated but it looks like they have a lot of people and a lot of fun. Thanks for the link to the subreddit.

I think they tried a while ago but nothing progressed because of the difficulty in proper emulation. Especially in the case of GT where everything is rendered in-game, somewhat like AC.

But it's been a few years since I looked into it so idk. I just love GT6 for the photography, since I'm 80% done in terms of completion.

@MEC-777 I've fallen in love with Senna's 97T! When the boost kicks in :x spins tires in 3rd gear!? Tops out at 340+ kph at the top of 5th!! Also, massive compared to the Formula 3 car he drove to a championship win.
