Have you overcome any addictions and what were they?

asim1999

Could be anything, heath related or not (general stuff). For me, it was quitting Clash of  Clans 2 years ago. I had been playing for a year and it has taken over my life (good thing GCSEs barely started when i quit). I was at Level 75 and Town Hall 8 when i quit

Hmm, never real addiction.. I guess I could say some games, but I have been able to tone it down a bit lately and it wasn't very bad either way.

Kinda have a PC/LTT forum addiction now, but I swear I can stop whenever I want!

im still working at it but i am working at not being negative, for things i am usually not interested in i usually get really grouchy about them and so im trying tom broaden my horizons of interest and happiness.

<p>Wish I could have this already!! : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qTLRjX

Not that extreme, but basically, yeah.

It's nice having someone who you can totally confide in. I don't know many people who have that.

Food, by not eating (like litrally not eating (some days at all, some abit of bread , lost allot of weight quickly and it didn't do me well. But it did the trick, as soon as i met my goals i went back to normal)

gaming, by not playing games, only a single session of ArmA 3 in the weekend.

Pretty much lost all these "addictions" at the same time, ontop of that i had to get into shape until november which is why i decided to stop all those bad habits.

I smoked cigarettes daily for three years and one day decided to quit cold turkey. It's been about 6 years since I quit and I smoke the occasional cigar, but never went back to cigarettes.

I stopped playing it when meet the pyro came out june 2012 :P

Now I want to stop my pc addiction, but it's fueled by loneliness and stress so it's not easy.

Maybe lying to my family about my religion. Just don't want to point out their lack of critical thinking. It's just like they they turned off their brains every time they see a sculpture of a 2000 year old hipster hanging on a cross.

Have a laugh

I overcame a 7 year drug addiction. My main drug was always heroin, but I would do pretty much every stimulent you could throw my way.

It is said that if you were once an addict you will always be an addict, and I guess that is pretty true, but I have kept clean for a bit over 4 years now.

I guess I was also addicted to cigerettes, but after quiting heroin cold turkey they are but a small side story.

i quit smoking pot like 3 years ago. not because of health since it doesnt do any damage but because i got lazy and was content with where i was in life and that really freaks me out when i think about it now. so i now only light it up on special occasions like my birthday or new years. and honestly im soo happy i got my drive back.

also gaming was a big thing in my live at some point but isnt anymore. im not sure i would say i was addicted but im still glad it isnt as important to me as it was.

Gaming and porn when I was in high school. I'm talking 50-60 hours a week of one game, with a two monitors for dual-boxing or porn. I fixed it by disconnecting the internet in my room. If I needed to get online, I'd have to do it in a public setting on a computer that had no games.

I was smoker back in school. But when i finished my degree. I stop smoking right away. And i haven't smoke after that. I didn't need nothing to fool my self. I just decided to stop and i stop it.

Failure is not an option!
