thats exactly what im doing, directly upgrading the freash windows 8.1 install

was removing windows.old all you needed to do? is it just a file on the drive or does it need to be removed through disk cleanup

afaik it has to be removed through disk cleanup, if you try to delete the folder from the drive it will say you don't have permission to complete the action

I personally prefer larger screens, but its pretty much the same as the 15" model just different CPU

 

you will love the touchpad

Ik, Apple touchpads are pretty gr8. I tried using the 15" and it was a bit too big, or at least too big for my small self to take on trips around the city during the day and whatnot

motors, rc cars, bike tires, chunks of aluminum, speakers, giant horns, etc...

im not going to use this as a place to store my important documents and stuff so even if something does happen all I need to do is clean reinstall

I actually considered the MSI GS 17" laptops a lot

they are also very powerful, slim, and good looking

 

I still like the blade pro better because its less square, more of a 16:9 shape

And the touchpad is on the right, which I love

Plus it looks like a macbook pro

 

the pricing makes it very compelling though

I saw it at a store...

the shape of the notebook is not as rectangular (because the blade pro has large bezels plus the touchpad on the right)

I got the XPS 13, but due to battery issues I returned it and got a macbook pro 13" (retina), and tbh i'm much happier with the mac.

 Also if you get the XPS 13 at the microsoft store, you can get the 256GB version for $1300, and they have a $100 off coupon currently, so you can get it for $1200.

I was originally going to get it from amazon.com for $870 but converted to cad it was almost the same as the $1300 from best buy

and I needed it in 3 days

I dont need that high res, since im only going to be using it for a few months and imo 1080p on a 13" screen is fine

and not touch screen since I hate touching the screen on laptops
