THE psus in hp systems are not That bad

mines been going 4 years now.

On time is  17/7

Just because it works doesn't mean it works well (or for much longer). Keep in mind that some are decent Delta units. It depends.

Remember though, HP doesn't make the PSUs - they, like everybody but Seasonic/Super Flower/Delta/FSP etc, have to go to an OEM to build them. Many HP PSUs are very bad. Not all, just many.

DVD drive, case, I do believe they have unique mobo designs but those are made exclusively by Foxconn. But yeah, not much is actually made by them.

I thought they got mobos from 2-3 other companies.

I know Intel used to be the go-to but now that's been shipped exclusively over to Gigabyte and I've yet to see a Gigabyte board in a prebuilt from Dell/HP/Lenovo etc.

Pretty good deal. I find it weird it takes so long to ship though; says october

probably not enough volume yet or into supply chain yet for HP (or rather, the OEM that's building HP's machines)

Won't be able to do much OC since the OEM motherboard probably sucks.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. • 5 months later...

Sorry I'm late to the party here. I bought this machine with the following specs:

Envy 750se Desktop, Core i7-6700 Skylake, GTX 980ti 6GB, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD + 1TB SSHD, 500w PSU.

I've had it almost a month and have noticed thermals to stay well within healthy ranges, though I stick to stock speeds without oc.

Unfortunately, that 500w PSU is the highest they would throw in there. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could snag a more beefy PSU that fits this case specifically (I tried putting an EVGA 750w Silver in the case... Too big)
