Why doesn't XFX/Sapphire make NV cards, or EVGA make AMD cards.

Just wondering. Why do those certain companies only make cards for one company? Wouldn't they see a profit boost if XFX/Sapphire etc. made Nvidia cards and EVGA made AMD cards? I mean, Gigabyte, ASUS, MSI etc. make for both so why not the others?

Because they're in some exclusive partnerships with AMD and Nvidia respectively.

They're also typically the best cards from AMD/Nvidia as well, I've noticed.  Fun fact, XFX used to make Nvidia cards.

As mentioned above, they are exclusive to those brands.They essentially have a contract that says Sapphire will only make AMD cards and EVGA will only make NVIDIA cards.

xfx actually used to produce only for nvidia, but then xfx decided to produce for amd as well, and nvidia kicked them out as board partners.

No, but they use the same manufactureres, Production Process and Parts. So Sapphire´s and Zotac´s built Quality is equal.
