How much do you guys pay for internet?

Please state currency, where you live (country/state/city which ever one), download/upload speeds (speedtest verify plz)

for me its about £30 per month including line rental.  i get about 38 down and about 9 up with a ping of 20, this is in the uk  and GBP.

$109/month for the package ($125ish after taxes) for 150mbps down, 20mbps up, and the highest tier of TV with HBO, Showtime and Cinemax for four Tivos with Comcast in Oregon. 

 

Edit: I'd be happy to trade some of my download speed for more upload speed.

Yeah, also the ISP's are not allowed to roll out new infrastructure, as the government has come up the NBN which is installing fiber all over the place but they are really slow at doing it. They started in 2009 and 1,208,378 places have it half have their lines activated and the max speed is 100 down 75 up. (It's better then what we currently have) http://www.nbnco.com.au/

 

Also the internet portion of that connection is around $120 -$150 (It's in a bundle) http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4561267676 Ping is reletivly low though

Still, I pay 100$ / month for 100mb/s down and here in canada we complain that the price is to high (which it is when you compare it to services in the US) but damn... 150$ austrailian (which is close to the same in canadian dollars) for only a few MB/s down... thats insane!

See, now thats more along the lines of a canadian price, except in canada not companies have caps. I guess it just depends on where in Australia you live.

Basically if you have NBN in Australia you're laughing. your pissed because it is the cut down version of what was originally getting deployed. but you laughing at all the plebs with dsl.

 

I know that before the liberals got in NBN co was trailing doubling the speeds (200/80) with no price increase, because it made 0 difference to their costings once the hardware was deployed. this wont be happening since they dropped fttp
