You know, if you want people to respect your request of not using 'cancer' to describe stuff, maybe you should respect them too by not calling people 'awful person' or tell them to 'grow up' or call them immature.

but people usually use it for the wrong reasons, cant people grow up and use the word pathetic or stupid, like instead of "oh this game is cancer", say "this game is pathetic", theres just no need for it at all, maturity costs nothing.

If you use the word ´stupid´ to describe something badly designed or in other ways non-intuitive, you just risk offending other people. 

I have meet people in this glorious internet land, that will tell you, that calling something studpid, lame, pathetic, dumb etc. is ableist and therefor offensive.

 

No matter what you say, you will risk offending someone. 

Even if you used gibberish words, there would probably be someone accusing you of cultural appropriation.

Cancer can be both a diseases and refere to something sinister, that is hard to eradicate

I hate to refere people to the dictonary, but this is from the Oxford Dictonary's definition of cancer
