I would pick the "more than 2 years" option if there was one.

I have never done that, I added a second graphics card, 2 more memory sticks, an AIO cooler.

Just take it apart and put it back together? Never, unless I am changing cases for a purely aesthetic change. But I do open it up and take the fans off the rad to clean it up every couple months. And I blow out the fan filters every few weeks. As for a full replacement of the pc, that's like 5 years or so. Graphics cards, like every 3 or so.

Don't really need to unplug and remove everything to blow some dust out...

I replace/add a component every year. and every year I take a look at my cable management. to see if there's room for improvement. but i think I'm satisfied now. (for the next 6 months)

Rebuild?

For cleaning? Why would you ever do that... Just a can of compressed air will get rid of like, 99% of the dust inside.

At most, all you would need to do is remove the fans to clean off the blades and possibly the heatsink, if dust caked up too much in it.

In any case, last time I "rebuilt" my system, is when I switched case, like 3~4 years ago.

Rarely, only 'rebuild' if I have a new component which requires it.

I did this with a laptop one time and ended up fucking it up. I don't want that to happen again.

I used my laptop until it literally stopped working. It had a broken hinge that was held together with an entire tube of super glue. I replaced the battery and the charger. It was so slow that i couldnt even run minecraft. It got hot really quickly, it was heavy, and the battery didn't last long. I had that laptop for like 6 years and i would have kept using it if my brother didn't spill water over it while i was using it  . I kind of miss it.

Well if building it in sections or over the time period of a year counts but then ill leave it for 10 years or until a hardware failure occurs. I say this because I force myself to get what I paid for or more out of the system. I would never drop $1000 on a PC and build or rebuild it 4-5 years later, just seems sorta selfish to me...
