what is a male and female connecter?

I started my build yesterday and I just finished 9am today but I don't have any fans being able to pull air from the front or top of the case and I'm not sure what to exactly do since the connectors are either males or females. Can someone help?

Male he connector sticks out like a dick

 

Female, the male goes in it like vagina

 

Could you not have googled this?

Connector's male female standard is based on the terminals itself not the plastic connector so that PIC is correct such as this one also:

All fans have female connectors. All things where you plug them will have males. Like mobo, fan controller, PSU. Extension cables will ofc have both.

 

So if you have casefans and cooler fans, plus mobo and modern PSU, you don't need anything else.
