Download Windows 10 (If you've reserved it already)

iEmerald

  • Delete everything in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Open Windows Updates and keep it open.

Open CMD as Admin and write "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" (DON'T HIT ENTER YET)

In the Windows Updates window click on check for updates.

While it's checking for updates run the command by hitting enter in CMD.

You should be downloading Windows 10 now :)

How silly of me, I totally forget that reddit was the center of the universe and everyone is REQUIRED to go there and check in every 30 mins.

Please forgive me

Is this real?

This does work the way it is posted. However this only starts the download. If it completes and it gets a signal to allow you to install, you will then get a window prompting you to do the upgrade.

It will do noting unless you have the most recent updates from windows update and then it only downloads the windows 10 files needed to do the upgrade.

It worked, it brought up the download but my download is stuck at 0% "548 KB total".

This is kind of frustrating.
