what if I told you if people never asked dumb questions on forums, there'd be nothing to bring up when people google those dumb questions?

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

When people use Google to find an answer to a question, they usually reference a forum...Now imagine no one asked on a forum. You wouldn't have an answer and ask on a forum.

Because I've been put into the shoes of those people. I've tried using Google. You always get tomshardware, unreliable answers, and some youtubers you've never heard of.

These forumns are trustworthy 97% of the time and I feel I get better answers from here. What if that person looked up what's better fx 8350 and i7-4790k and CPU Boss is the first link? Well the fx will win because of how unreliable they are and they'd end up with a crappy fx8 over a much better 4790k

i7-6700k  Cooling: Deepcool Captain 240EX White GPU: GTX 1080Ti EVGA FTW3 Mobo: AsRock Z170 Extreme4 Case: Phanteks P400s TG Special Black/White PSU: EVGA 850w GQ Ram: 64GB (3200Mhz 16x4 Corsair Vengeance RGB) Storage 1x 1TB Seagate Barracuda 240GBSandisk SSDPlus, 480GB OCZ Trion 150, 1TB Crucial NVMe
(Rest of Specs on Profile)

Fuck fucking toms hardware. One of their top members, with a lot of questions answered, literally thinks TV's have GPUs that boost game console performance over pc monitors.

60-70% of that forum is full of fucking idiots like that. I mean LTT is full of green people and people under 18, but at least the vast majority of people here are not retarded, and we actually have experts.

The vast majority of people even if they under 18 atleast know what they are doing. Heck I'm 14, yeah I don't know everything but I know enough to help someone out with picking parts, telling them about the OEM of PSUs which is the biggest thing I see people do wrong whilst picking parts or just helping out with whatever I can in general.

Sometimes I'm not so sure :^)

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Well it's not just corsair CX PSUs it just seems that a lot of people who are first time builders seem to choose that. I see every once in awhile someone gets a EVGA G1 ( made by FSP, a not so great PSU maker ) ect ect. But yeah we will also say don't get those Kingston SSDs, ( yah know the one, SSD now 300 what not, never memorized the name ).

There is a difference between searching for an answer to your question and actually having someone answer your question.

IDK

I used to be/still am pretty bad for making really off topic posts and derailing threads. There's people way worse than me though lol
