I have practically the same cooler the 660ti variant of it, it's noisy as hell and doesn't keep it cool at all, then again the 970 needs less in terms of cooling as it's more efficient.

Even has the same Epeen extension lol.

Palit is a perfectly known brand...

But no. The cooler is actually worse than reference.

I think I remember Linus talking about Palit once in a WAN show, but I don't think you should get this card over a reference 970

I wouldn't even recommend a 970 tbh. the 390 is better for the price + that extra vram it has.

Palit is a decent brand and the largest GPU vendor in the world as far as volume is concerned, if the price is right go for it.

Have you guys seriously not heard of Palit? They're like one of the biggest (if not the biggest) GPU manufacturer in the world. Not that I recommend this cooler in particular.

America or not, pigs eat what we give them. That's the opinion of major companies round the world. You have something in US and you don't have something we have and other way around. Palit is good brand known for low cost but cooling on this card isn't that great. Probably most haven't heard of Zotac and they have fastest 970. In the end all is made in China, so getting best brand or reliable card is pure luck and level of focus that 15 yo kid that makes your cards invest during 12h shift in factory.

I'm pretty sure people have heard of Zotac a lot more than Palit. Linus did a video showing 2 Zotac 970 models. I wasn't very fond of their design choices though. And I hadn't heard that they had the fastest 970. I just assumed it would be a HOF or G1 model that was the fastest. I never really looked too much into it though.
