opinion on transition glasses?

I am getting new glasses soon. My current one is regular antiglare.

My brother and I have the same Raybans except his have transition lenses, I personally think that they look dumb when theyre dark, I would stick with anti-glare, mine are just normal lenses :(
Ill probably get anti-glare when I go back for annual checkup in September :P

I used them for like 5 years, my current glasses aren't transitions and I don't miss it.

I've used them, and now i miss them. Nice to have prescription glasses double up as sunglasses.

I'm just like TerryTek, I had them and went without because they are expensive, I now regret that and am definitely going to get them on my next set of lenses. That being said I would recommend getting AntiGlare and transitions.

And with contacts you can wear sunglasses. I wish I could get used to contacts... then again there's something (I can't really say what) that's nice about wearing glasses.. maybe it's the added protection from bugs in the eyes when cycling :P

Yeah, i have 200 dollar raybans for that purpose :/ yeah that's the one thing about wearing glasses daily. Now i'm a bit worried when i do work or exercise without glasses.

That's the other thing to me, I know contacts are nice for somethings... but I would rather spend a bunch of money on nice lenses with transitions and antiglare then sunglasses and contacts. Right now I don't have transitions and I just have to close my eyes :P Having awful vision (Lucky me, right?) means I can't wear sunglasses without getting an instant headache.

Trust me, i look a lot more natural with contacts and sunglasses. And how bad is ur vision? mine's 20/50 with no aids.

I had transition glasses, I personally disliked them. When I needed to do things outside(like working on a car), they were too dark, and they took too long to transition(even though it only took a few minutes). Then, they don't transition while driving(since car windows block UV), so I had to resort to putting sunglasses over my glasses, which really defeats the purpose lol. My newest glasses have sunglasses "lens" that stick on with magnets, and I like them a lot  better  than the transitions(although this means carrying around a case for the tinted lenses).

Honestly, I couldn't tell you. I stopped caring when it got to the point it's at now... For a homemade vision test, at font size 14, Once I back my face 15 inches away from my monitor, everything becomes blurry and I can't read the text... I could go digging for the papers, but then I have to do something :P

I have transitions and I don't really notice them so that is probably a good thing. Very rarely do I notice they are to dark normally from being out side then going into somewhere that is low light quickly.

They are good. They're kinda like Micheal Jackson, they transition from dark to light.

That one was smooth, criminal.

I've had them for 3 years now, changed my life for the better.

then again, I have a major light sensitivity, which makes sunlight hurt. on the plus side, I work well in low light :)

so if you have what I have, go for them, otherwise, dont.
