I'm curious how do you solve the situation when you don't have a hot water in shower?

Our city will have some annual maintenance and big part of city won't have hot water for two weeks in the middle of August (some part of city will suffer longer). Last year I was lucky because I had a boiler in my old flat.

I don't really like cold showers and last time I've tried one it wasn't really comfortable. It took maybe 20 secs, I had shallow and fast breathing like hyperventilation so I had to balance the temperature with hot water.

I'll definitely try it when I will be desperate but I don't think that I will be able to even wash off the shampoo from my hair :D

I was thinking about 4 reference 290Xs mounted near water pipes, but I can't afford it. /s

Hot August weather + Cold shower = good. Problem? On a more serious note... just do it - youll get used to it quickly. If you have to just work your way down slowly.

Just take a cold shower. The first few seconds it's weird, but it'll get comfortable

Got the same problem... We've got an "external" heater, it packs up to 30l and heats up to 60 degrees celsius. More than enough for a hot shower.

Yop that's what I mentioned in the OP. "Boiler" - not sure if it's the right name in english.

We have it at home (parents house - it's 1000km away, can't use it :D) and I also had a small one in my old flat just in case.

@Dezz : Another you could do is to pre-wet yourself with cold water , wait a few minutes than turn on the shower , the water will feel warm ...

Well I could try that, but will it also work in hot environment? Maybe a fan would work :D

Than cold showers are nice ... Don't use a fan ... The best is to go to the shower , wet your self ( Just the leg is fine ) ... Do this when you take a poop before you shower ... More effective and time -conserving , When dealing with cold showers , you don;t jump right in , you slowly approach it , Leg first , than slowly to your abdonmin ... Then neck and turn around to get your back wet ... Lastly face and hair ...

Well, I take cold showers a lot lately. I used to not be able to do it, would make me shiver and jump around too much. Now I'm just used to it. So you just gotta keep doing it until you become resilient to it.
