Elder Scrolls Online VS Fallout 4

Rylie59

My friend and I love playing Skyrim, but hated the fact that we couldn't play together. When ESO came out I thought it was a no brainier to get it, but I didn't have the money for it at the time. Now that Fallout 4 is coming out I'm thinking about getting that because I also loved Fallout 3. Realistically I would only be able to get one of them. I've heard bad things about ESO, and that I shouldn't get it. So I'd like to know what you guys think. ESO or Fallout 4?

Two friends of mine got into the beta for ESO and were extremely excited. Both hated it and no longer play.

No ESO please. Not worth it.

If you really want to play Skyrim together, take a look at new Skyrim Online mod. Not really an MMO, but it might get there :)

No one hear seams to have played it recently I have heard that ESO has changed a lot for the better so I would look for people with recent opinions about it. Me personally I am getting FO4, but nothing really matches playing with your buddy if you have the time.

No. This project was started a month or so ago and released a week or so ago. And this works a bit better, but you still can't do a whole lot with it.

Check MxR Mods' video about (last Skyrim Mods Weekly video IIRC)

My friends that play the Xbox love ESO for some reason. The ones that play PC think it sucks. Depends what you're looking for in a game but chances are Fallout will be a better game with more value in the end.

It really depends on what type of experience you want. My uncle plays ESO on his Xbox One and really likes it. He says that a lot of the bugs and other issues were fixed. And that's coming from a person who played the absolute hell out of the last three Elder Scrolls titles.

However, I personally wouldn't recommend it. I've played every major TES game except Daggerfall (haven't beaten Arena yet) and I've played every Fallout game but tactics.

I'm biased as hell, though, I pre-ordered the Pip-Boy Edition...

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Right now I think I'm leaning more towards Fallout 4. Though MattLantis does make a good point

ESO is a MMO, do you like MMO's? Then get it, but if you're hoping for Skyrim CO-OP it's far from it.

I like MMO's, so I enjoyed the beta and trial weekend that ESO has had in the past, but it didn't catch me like other MMO's had.

If Fallout 4 is half way decent as its hyped to be, then its going to end a lot of social lives of a lot of gamers.
