So I'm out shopping with my mum for my best friends birthday, it's her 21st, we've bought her a dress but now we're looking at lingerie... My mum said it's for the dress.

I've told my mum before that we're just friends, should I tell her again?

I would leave out the lingerie.

 

Unless maybe OP's mom knows something about the girl that OP doesn't know (like maybe that girl is interested in OP and his mom knows it)
