No lol. I rather pay those 5€ for 30m of CAT5e and be done with it, not worry if its done to an ok standard so that it will transmit at 1Gbps

Make them?

No.

Cut big ones into smaller ones?
Sometimes. But I have enough small ones now to last me some time

It's more enjoyable when you make them yourself. :P

There is nothing enjoyable about wiring up an RJ-45 connector.

That is 100% not enjoyable, enjoyable to me, is clicking "buy now, free delivery tomorrow" on amazon, and doing other shit with my time :P

How does it work? You would have to get a new RJ-45 for the other end of the cable and press it :P

Tell me one enjoyable thing about cuts on your fingers, cursing loudly when a wire wont go in, and a broken family after your DIY job goes south? Tell me one enjoyable thing about that

no, you just have to crimp(is that the word?) enough ethernet cables into RJ45s to have it happen. and it will, like one in 3. because those connectors are damn sharp and never really seem to fit well.

Clearly haha, I actually hate tinkering with stuff, hence why I dont really overclock, barely do anything practical like that,I just buy it off the shelf, shove it together and get on with what I want to use it for

I think the most "DIY" thing I have done to my PC is drilling holes to mount the H100i that didn't fit, and sticking on some bought lED strips

I buy small ones. But if I need a long in wall run I'll usually make it. I also got a 800 ft spool for nothing and a big bag of connectors. So it's free for me to make one.

No? A piece of plastic and cooper connectors like that isn't sharp enough for you to cut your finger with. Also crimping isn't that hard. You just need to position the jack inside it's proper position and push down.

i dont mean a full on cut, so that it bleeds all over and makes a murder scene. i mean those annoying skin cuts that just sting for a while and leave nothing behind.

Clearly youve never worked with 45s a school orders from the cheapest provider. those bitches dont work 1 in 4 at all, and the others are usually dodgy.

Well yeah, you get those for like 100 a pack or something like that here. im talking about 10€/5000pcs ones. and then wiring 500 30m long cables from that. Im NEVER again touching a bare E cable and a 45 together. Id rather just pay a little more for made ones

I have cut apart ethernet cables to make keystone pass-throughs. Other than that I do not make my own ethernet cables. They are so inexpensive that it is not worth the time.
