Scrapyard Wars - Challenge Suggestion thread.

C_Mike

drown the entire thing in water. by everything i only mean: cpu, GPU, and RAM.

What exactly do you mean by this.

Cause if you mean submerse the PC in water then that would kill the PC, obviously

And if you mean mineral oil, then I think that's slightly too expensive for a scrapyard wars challenge.

i think it would be cool to get water or coolant and turn the mobo upside down so the cpu will be cooled by the water, (they must use an airblock)

Computer's don't make errors. What they do, they do on purpose.

Console Killer?

They wouldn't get a cost budget so much as a performance one, They could try to make a PC that will match or outperform the PS4/XBox One for as cheap as possible.

They could be scored based on performance, cost, size, and aesthetics (since it would theoretically sit in a living room)

build a home theater pc out of cardboard

- get creative with cardboard cutting/folding

- get creative in finding a HTPC-friendly shape

- get creative in building a PC in said shape

- get creative in air-flow design

I'd love to see them making AIR cooling solutions from scratch now.
Without a PC budget... because... why bother, when copper is so high? :P

the most powerful passive build at a certain price. and without the use of standard passive coolers and without throttling. so a bit like the current one but without the water.
