If you can afford i7, go for it instead of FX. You should get like i7-4790 or 4790K. Or like Xeon, I'd say like Xeon E3-1231v3

What's your budget?

If you can't get i7, well FX-8350 is decent already. If you want to save a bit more you can get like FX-8320 and overclock it.

If your budget can't afford a Xeon, then yes it's a decent budget option. I would look at the 8320/E instead, though. Much cheaper and only marginally slower performance.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.

you can run adobe on any processor, but the better the processor is, the faster your work will go. it's up to you how much money you want to spend.

Can't forget the Xeon 1231v3.

Yep, just edit my post. When I posted my comment I was like "Oh right, Xeon 1231v3....".

No. Go for Xeon E3 1231 V3.

Can't forget the Xeon 1231v3.

But this has a higher core count what makes those better?

Hyper-threading.

Each core on the 8350 is weaker in comparison (by quite a bit) and the Xeon has HyperThreading, which gives it 8 threads (same as the 8350). It will perform better all round, including programs that don't utilise 8 cores.

Hyperthreading and significantly better single threaded performance. An i7 and E3-1231v3 blow even the 9590 out of the water with their better performance.

So then i7-4790 365$ vs xeon E3-1231v3 320$

The Xeon doesn't have an integrated GPU, it's otherwise the same chip as the 4790. The 4790k can overclock, though, if you're interested in that.

I'm getting a 970 so I should be good with the xeon. The 4790k cost 80$ more then the 4790, making it too out of my price range
